
SALOU (SPAIN), 15 November 2009 - A fantastic Catalan Grand Prix put a stylish end to the 2009 season handing the title to Adrien Chareyre and the GP wins to Gerald Delepine in front of a healthy crowd.
Delepine won the S2 Grand Prix from Burkhart and Bartolini while Adrien Chareyre wrapped up the Title already at the end of heat one.
S2 RACE 1
747 Motorsport TM Factory Racing's Gozzini instead settled for third after losing the runner up spot from Lazzarini. On the other hand his team mate Van Den Bosch, leading the S1 Championship, made up for a warm up lap crash at the sky section with ninth in the combined standings.
Delepine brought the bike home in fourth ahead of Hermunen, Seel and a strong Bartolini.
The end of the opening heat saw Husqvarna CH Racing's Adrien Chareyre wrap up his third World Title by taking an eventual seventh in the S2 dedicated standings. The Frenchman was in trouble when he stalled the bike at the sky section but sealed the Title anyhow as he entered the race with a 46 point advantage.
Gozzini won the S2 heat from Delepine and Bartolini.

S2 RACE 2
Cross 2R's Delepine took a good start and remained behind the leading duo. Delepine managed to stop the attack of Gozzini, who broke two rims when Delepine closed him and ended with a flat tyre.
Adrien Chareyre, who had already sealed the Title, took fourth ahead of Burkhart, putting in another strong moto after his Grand Prix debut in Ottobiano.
Seel ended right after, moving past Verderosa and eventually Bartolini, overtaking the latter at the last lap along the start straight.
Delepine won his second Grand Prix of the season ahead of Burkhart and Bartolini, with the Italian taking his first ever podium. Despite missing the top three, Adrien Chareyre came out of the Catalan GP with the S2 World Title - the third of his career.
