Lazer Helmets has an incredible weekend of cyclocross racing!

Saturday November 21

Telenet Fidea rider Zdenek Stybar finally grabbed a major win in Belgium. The Czech champion not only gave the team its first win of the season, his teammate Kevin Pauwels made it a one-two as he came in second in the four-man sprint in the GP Hasselt.

Tom Meeusen, also of the Telenet Fidea team, captured the top spot in the GP Hasselt U23 race with his team mate Robert Gavenda finishing in 2nd place.

In the United States Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com riders filled the podium at Day One of the Whitmore's Landscape Super Cross Cup Elite Men’s race held in Southampton, New York. Tim Johnson pulled off a solo victory ahead of teammates Jeremy Powers in second and Jamey Driscoll in third.

Primus Mootry rider and current USA Espoir National Cyclocross Champion Amy Dombroski took her first UCI win in the Elite Women’s race in Southampton, New York.

Sunday November 22

Telenet Fidea’s Zdenek Stybar carried the momentum from his first season victory on Saturday into the Superprestige race in Hamme Zogge Belgium, taking another sprint victory this time over Belgian champion Sven Nys and Klaas Vantornout of the Lazer Helmet supported Sunweb-Projob team.

Tom Meeusen delivered another repeat victory to the Telenet Fidea team by repeating his victory in the U23 event. Meeusen’s team mate Vincent Baestaens finished 3rd in the race.

Back in the USA the Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com repeated an almost impossible repeat of the previous day by again taking all three podium spots at Day Two of the Southampton Super Cross Cup Elite Men’s race. Once again it was Tim Johnson with the victory, Jeremy Powers in second and Jamey Driscoll in third.

Primus Mootry rider Amy Dombroski capped off an amazing weekend by once again repeating her previous day’s performance by winning the Elite Women’s race at Day Two of the Southampton Super Cross Cup.

Two days, sixteen podium spots, all in Lazer Helmets!
