Filippo Pozzato took fourth place in the sixth stage of Giro d’Italia from Bressanone to Mayrhofen im Zillertal. He ended being third in the bunch sprint, which was won by Boasson Hagen. Victory was for Michele Scarponi with a solo breakaway.

Filippo Pozzato: “I know that it was hard to catch the breakaway. I've discussed it with Di Luca at the end of  the last climb. I did the sprint but I had started too fast because the road was not straight. It was a sprint only for the second place”.
